If you open up any electronic device you will find among other things a printed circuit board. Every electronic item today has a PCB located inside it that is connected to a series of transistors and resistors and other electronic components. At the core of each of and every set of capacitors and diodes is the printed circuit board. This single piece of laminate is responsible for ensuring that computations, temperatures and timers are set accurately and controlled by the electronic devices that keep people going throughout the day. Yes, even the simple coffee maker has a PCB located somewhere inside it to make it function properly.

PCB manufacturing involves the laminating of a thin copper plate that is them etched using lasers to create a pathway for electricity to run through the circuit board and charge the diodes, electrodes, cathodes, transistors, resistors and capacitors that are attached to the PCB with solder. The PCB manufacturer even simplifies the process of soldering for electronics suppliers by filling the etched surface of the PCB with tin solder to make the connection of electronic components easier.

Guided missiles, digital cameras and car engines all have a computer driven processor that is mounted onto a printed circuit board. While companies like Honeywell are producing everything from armored vehicles to alarm systems to thermostats each and every piece of equipment that they produce has a PCB located somewhere inside it. Even General Electric and Westinghouse use the PCB to make blenders; washing machines and refrigerators run efficiently and effectively through the small but necessary electronic components that are found on a printed circuit board.
